Not sure what that has to with it. She could have admitted she fucked up, pled guilty and got a deal. 

The particular concern about “less than lethal” weapons is that cops will be extra careless with them or further weasel out of responsibility when someone dies. Not to mention that some are (deliberately) misused, completely undermining the “less” part (like rubber bullets).

It should be noted that her defense was not only that it was an accident, but that she was justified to murder Daunte Wright.

It’s almost as if cops shouldn’t regularly carry guns because they’re very dangerous and not at all useful in the vast majority of situations or something...

Even if, as the plaintiff Trump’s team couldn’t influence which judge presided over this litigation, they already had better than a 1 in 4 chance of landing their own Bruce Schroeder.

Since a judicial complaint has been submitted against Judge Michelle Odinet following a video leaking with racial slurs, we are asking the question “What happens next?” [1]

If anything, the sedative just made her freer with her racism than normal.  It was there all along regardless.

1) It would be hilarious if every defendant from now on in her court claimed that they were “on a sedative” at the time of the crime, and therefore be excused from the crime.

At the risk of repeating myself [1], I think it’s important to note the fact that in trying to excuse her naked racism, this judge engaged in more, accusing a Black man of armed burglary, despite there being no evidence the arrestee had a weapon.

According to CNN, Odinet said she had no “recollection of the video and the disturbing language used during it” because she had conveniently been “given a sedative” at the time of the video to sleep.

Nobody’s buying that sedative bullshit. Now let’s get her ass off the bench and pick through her cases with a fine tooth comb because you know there’s racist bullshit in those decisions of hers.
