It’s worse than that. They are basically saying that white men can holster up with visible weaponry and you’re not allowed to see them as a threat and treat them accordingly. YET, a Black man with no weapon is seen as a threat by merely existing in the same space.

The Justice Department began a Federal civil rights investigation of the incident a few days ago, and those are different charges in a separate system, so this ain’t over yet.

We knew the outcome before the case even started. The problem now is what comes next now that it’s official. They’ve basically said it’s okay to cross state lines with an illegally obtained weapon, look for a fight, and then claim “self defense” when one finds you. People are going to die because of this. 

Not sure how it works exactly but he was elected (ran opposed several times). I looked up his history and he’s had complaints going back decades with some people trying their best not to have him oversee their case. So probably not fired but... I don’t know what they do in Wisconsin.

In many jurisdictions judges are elected by vote. I have said it before and I will say it again, vote for your judges, vote for your school board, vote for your dog catcher.  

Is there any chance whatsoever that at the very least this judge’s action will come under some kind of review and that maybe he’ll get fired. I already know the answer but I figured I’d ask anyway.

You know the defense attorney is desperate when he’s YELLING the quiet parts. 

Black was the important part of that sentence. I mean this is basically the defense. Black people are intimidating so grab your gun Cletus. People are shocked (shocked!) but I don’t know why. The defense they’re going with is literally Black people are dangerous and here’s a SLAVE PATROL LAW that says we can kill them…

The same Judge who watched the defense strike every black juror and responded with

“You weren’t even aware of it until later?” the judge said, according to AP. “I’m not sure what we’re doing.”

What a slip of the tongue! Surprised the Honorable Judge CA Cracker didn’t hold him in contempt.

Why wouldn’t you want a Black pastor visible by the jury? Are they going to do something that would be considered unfair if there are no Black pastors around that for some reason, they’d be afraid to do in Rev. Sharpton’s presence?

I thought courts were supposed to be open to all members of the public, regardless of position and place of residence, as part of the need to see that justice is SEEN to be done?
