I'm sure that Russia cares a great deal about Gulf War 2. It's a distraction, and one that will likely diminish our standing abroad and ability to conduct military operations in the future.

Working to? I'm sure they're already dead.

Let's hope that's the case. *fingers crossed*

If only that were true… *sigh*

Impeachment for treason. That would definitely be a first.

Can someone throw a shoe at him?

Haha, "instability". I think we're in for a far rougher ride than instability.

You have to tell them that sometimes, people make mistakes. In this case, 62,979,879 people made an enormous error and voted for Donald Trump, who is an utter charlatan (best case), the sign that our country is about to collapse (middling case), or the vehicle of that collapse (worst case).

1/21. Comon, give it a day to happen. 1/20 is just the parade.

Jesus Fucking Christ. That's terrifying. It was nice knowing all of you. Maybe we'll survive the coming nuclear apocalypse and wander the Earth together as ghouls.

Find replace… find replace.

Thanks. Sorry if I seemed like a dick before. Please do respond again. This has proven to be an interesting discussion.

If Obama and the SEC were to have jailed bankers for their crimes, that wouldn't have helped the immediate economic situation. Who knows what impact to the long term economic situation it would have? This article doesn't really address that either. Would it stop banks from abusing customers? Would it have ushered

It never would have passed through the Senate. The 40+ Republicans would surely have blocked it, just like they said they would. These ideas were all debated on the floor of Congress and in the press. The Republican leaders all steadfastly disagreed on anything beyond what was passed.

Sweet! Jar Jar is my favorite Star Wars character!

And let me add, that I agree that the actions suggested in the article probably would have worked better, this article is really just Monday morning QBing.

So I read it and stand by my assertion. It's basically saying that again, the Democrats had less than two years to fix the entire recession and they didn't. Well, they didn't because 1) it's impossible to do so in that short a time period and 2) they listened to more people than one.

I was asked to read it, and I started to, and I decided to stop because it went right off the rails in the first paragraph.

I'm not saying you aren't right, but the started off based on the fact that Obama didn't fix everything overnight.

You are very right. For example, the whole Benghazi thing was a long con. They knew she'd run for president, so they attacked her for years just to have an enormous talking point over her for this election. How many people said "I can't let her be president with all that blood on her hands!"?
