I rode the shuttle bus to and from my hotel for the festival. Even if I were sober, driving in Austin during SXSW looks like it would be a nightmare.

I was in Austin for the festival. Thankfully, I was on 6th St Wednesday night, away from the incident, (which actually occurred on Red River St between 9th and 11th). I didn't even hear about it until the following morning through an email from a friend. I usually don't check emails and the like while out partying.
