My bet is probably protestors. If a gyno is located in a medical complex, protestors would piss off a lot of non-related doctors and patients, putting the gyno office in a rough spot. Stand-alone offices can be expensive and the doctors may not want to put up with the threats and violence that come along with it.

That’s my general impression as well. I figured Palin was either forced on him or he picked her solely to pander to the wackier side, since he didn’t/couldn’t/wouldn’t cater to the wacky side of the voting block.
