Okay, I’m descending to quibbling over the grades. I thought this one was killer. Such a smart way to get a full-blown action sequence into the show without jumping the series story too far ahead. And then they put their big action sequence in the middle and went out with twenty minutes of powerful series story.

I love the detail work. The creepy spying. The false hits, things that seem to mean something that don’t. So lame when people have to pretend that they find the Purple Man impressive.

I might have to bail on the binge watch. It’s too intense, I might have to slow down.

Saw AKA Ladies Night right after breakfast. The real parts are really intense, way realer and more personal than I’ve ever seen a Marvel show get. The funny parts are genuinely funny. Something like that only works with an actress who can make both work, and make both parts work with each other. Krysten Ritter is

Although in the interest of dialing things down, my apologies for implying that Fran Kranz's stoner character was stock. I have never seen a stoner character in any movie before. There, are we friends now?

As I said early on if you would read what you are attacking, torture porn to me is when the movie invites you to identify with the predator and enjoy the victimization of the characters. The Evil Dead does not do that, Cabin in the Woods absolutely does.

Well, I didn’t expect that. If you’d said, hey, quit picking on Fran Kranz and Chris Hemsworth, they had nothing to work with, reasonable people could debate that.

If the terrible stock character work and acting in Cabin in the Woods somehow worked for you, let me return to point one. The Evil Dead and Army of Darkness have the same premise and are way scarier and way funnier than Cabin in the Woods. Ash vs. Evil Dead premieres Halloween night! Be there and appreciate how

The Evil Dead movies have the exact same premise and are way scarier and way funnier than Cabin in the Woods, why waste your time worrying what Cabin in the Woods is?

I’d lost track of Don Bluth. Wow, so Titan AE ended his career. Even when something you worked on comes out terrible, no matter how it happened, you root for it to make money, because you never want to be a part of ending someone’s career.
