Lies! Series 3 is stronger than Series 1 in my opinion. It's darker, handles more adult themes, and is relatively well-paced, despite the 'rushed' aspect.

Oh man, as an editor I can just see how much of a hilarious pain this interview was to transcribe. Bet you he ranted a lot longer

Have you listened to the actual clip? This news story cut out much of his answer, where he argues that adapting a literary character for an extended part of the same story (in either direction) and lifting/appropriating one for one's own new story are mutually exclusive. And that the literary tradition owes much to

They're not 'reimagining' them though. They will be a 'prequel', thus part of the Watchmen canon. They are rehashing. Exhuming. Flogging. Whatever you want to call it (except reimagining).

If you actually listen to his full answer, he sounds like more logical and far less of a so-called 'windbag'. Shame on you AV club for paraphrasing and adapting his answer rather than outright stealing it.

Indeed, wait until the Christmas special. Sadly it gets worse before then. Or rather, it stays exactly the same. Which IS worse.

this is the guy that covered Jeff Buckley's 'Hallelujah' right? lolol

Etymology! Fuck yeah!

For me my favourite Hank moment is the OJ episode when Phil admits he egged his car, and in a fit of rage he kicks the door with his foot whilst screaming FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU! Such great physical comedy

Isn't that the emotionally-fragile 30-something classmate Ron Donald sat behind from Party Down?

We sell Louis XIII Cognac in our bottle shop for two grand. Nectar of the gods, people. NECTAR

In name only. Fairly broad Britishing of Cougartown and that's it really. All I wanna know is, where was John Oliver during that?

I know this isn't the point you're making but I'll troll anyway. Boo to the First Past the Post system! It's about as democratic as a fork in the eye.

Do yer homework. It's not bees or hives in the wild that are themselves dying out, it's large-scale commercial hive operations when pollen and honey is overproduced for sale and agriculture.

I love this man. He called Rachel Ray a 'bobble-head'. Tee hee /immature

That episode is my 'Go-to' introductory episode for anyone who wants the perfect encapsulation of LS without wading through the mostly-mediocre first season. It's damn near perfect for it.

God, Odenkirk is really great at playing assholes

They started out that way too. As long as there's a balance it's fine. It should also fall on the editors to point this out. It's probably quite challenging to do, considering there is such a strong and clear sense of narrative in this series.

!!!

Community owes a lot to Larry Sanders. A LOT. Except LS was meta without being pretentious, whereas Community pushes meta pretentiousness to such an extreme you can no longer distinguish between what's pretentious and what isn't, because it's all so goddamn relative
