This was a major point of discussion for myself and a friend at work. He’s 37 I think and I’m a few years behind him. He grew up in rural IN and I grew up in rural IL. My childhood is about a decade behind the kids, but his isn’t off by much. That reaction was waaaaay too chill.
I grew up playing baseball. It's always been my sport. I lived and breathed it. As I've gotten older, I don't really watch anymore. Don't really care all that much anymore (about any sports for that matter). But this -- this made me cry. Moments like these are why these sports are still special. Just unbelievable.

Didn't hear much about him until I moved to KY and then it was constantly that people mentioned him. Only got to see highlights after the fact, but he was a treat to watch. People love him down here.
