Most Catholics probably don’t even know who their local bishop is. Ha! While I’m inclined to agree that the Pope is most well known, I also have nagging “Eurocentrism” where I wonder what the penetration of Pope knowledge is in India or China. Like they might know of “The Pope” as it is a historic position, but maybe

The Pope is the leader of the largest single denomination.

While I admit I’m probably over theorizing, there does exist a senstivity towards Washingtonian identity as opposed to Maryland and Virginia. Part of is probably political, tied to DC’s status. I lived in DC when the Capitals and Bullets moved from Landover to downtown, and when the football team moved from RFK to

The real abortion is the friends we made along the way?

Last time I checked Falls Church is within the Beltway. ;)

While I agree that minority Washington fans are overlooked, I’m not overlooking them in this count. DC’s odd geography and status in the US societal structure, limit the size of “native” fans than say other media markets.

I surmised one guy was a local, and the others were definitely New Englanders. The chat go onto sports and 28-3, and the two New England

It’s not just us. I travel abroad often. Usually when you read a city guide to a place, the areas “not to go” are generally the domain of a poorer/ethnic minority within the larger community, with the emphasis more on the ethnicity as the cause for danger, and not the poverty.

Harsh, but fair.

So Fenway

I could go for some Boog’s BBQ right now.

W.T. Sherman nods in approval.

If Joe ever scored four touchdowns in a game, that would be the best celebration and biggest fine in NFL/most complaints to the FCC in history. 12/10 would want to see happen.
