What's wrong with show Tormund?
What's wrong with show Tormund?
I wanted to make that joke during the episode but my company wasn't nerdy enough :(
So if that was the Sword of the Morning, what was his other sword called?
I couldn't stop laughing during Jon's post-resurrection talk, much to the chagrin of my company. It is so just like him to get freaking resurrected only to go on and on moping about being killed.
Now I kind of want to see a spinoff where Ramsay and Joffrey are besties.
Are you saying you need to poop?
According to a definition I puzzled together from film and television it seems. Apparently the definition in literature is different (someone linked to it), but it sounds extremely broad to me. The Tower of Joy segment, if I remember correctly, was a (fever-)dream which jumbled some elements of past events together…
Again, interesting! To me, (intuitively) I would not count this as a flashback because we (the narrator, character and reader) aren't "with" the events narrated, but still with her remembering. I thought the whole "flash" part of a flashback indicated a much more drastic leap than that.
Interesting. I would think that the common usage in film an television of an actual jump in time where the narrative leaves the present set of characters completely would have narrowed the definition somewhat. I'd hardly consider me telling you that I went to the beach yesterday a "flashback". (<= exaggeration to make…
I was getting a little scared Tyrion would end up subbing for Quentin Martell in that scene :s
Because someone was thinking and/or talking about it in the present. A flashback would be if the narrative suddenly started actively at the Tower, like, say at the start of a new chapter.
They're not flashbacks, they are people remembering stuff. The difference is the active story-line never leaves the present.
Ha! Because he's a pirate!
There's this one line where she asks the flames to see the prince that was promised and "I could see only snow". Durr.
Well someone keeps forgetting to put fresh logs on it.
I can confirm this because I was getting pretty drunk as I was watching. Never occurred to me to drink wine from a chalice. That Tyrion is on to something!
Cave Buffy is totes adorbs though.
Kanye would make a great Lorne in the Angel reboot.
And such a delectable form it was!
Ouch :((
