Oh no, I agree with you that big budget movies without space sound would be lame and the job of the film maker is to immerse the audience into a story, not wow us with technical accuracies.

The biggest error with any space movie is that the film makers always adds all kinds of sound based effects that just aren't real. Imagine how horrible Star Wars Ep 4,5,6 and how much more horrible Ep 1,2,3 would have been if the sounds were true to the vacuum that is space.
