Sorry, but it is true. I love Modern Family but after rewatching the first season and seeing Phil throw a tantrum over how he couldn't get an iPad ("he's an early adopter!), and thinking that the Hecks couldn't even fathom the thought of getting an iPad let alone a new washer infuriates me.
Though I will admit seeing

Love the scene with Thornton as he exits the grocery store. That's so Malvo. And an Ice Harvest reunion! And a Raising Arizona reference.

Oh, man, Diwali just nails all of the awkward beats so well. And i love that Nancy Walls plays her relationship with her real husband with complete awkwardness akin to the real life couples over on Sunny.

The pointless drug war stuff is pointless. I love the nervous energy of the Norma/Norman stuff and the drug war literally puts me to sleep. At least they tried tying it into the main storyline but it felt pointless overall. I am still however loving this season.

I love the ending to No Country because it's so terrifying. Tommy Lee Jones does this great job of showing this nightmarish image of a dream or a half-remembered nightmare. His face shows it. His performance mixed with the Coen's direction and McCarthy's words pipe the dream into my head. And that's why I love that

Billy Bob's speech terrified me to the point of no return as it did Hanks' character. but then, it dissolves to a scene of coziness. It dilutes the impact for me. Which I get may be stronger in the long run because the residents of Bemjidi, the characters are the one we'll hang our hat on for the series, not the

I recently binge watched all of season two, and love the build-up to Jess and Nick's relationship and hate that they just uncermoniously split them up. I loved Nick and Jess' relationship. It felt earned. I sort of saw warning signs but didn't really think they would cut the cord. But I love how in tune they were at

Maybe so, but I always see pilots as ending with a gut punch. Look at The Shield with Vic and Terry. It just felt misplaced. But yes, I have the next few episodes and should probably dig into those soon. Maybe it'll give it different shades.

The only nitpick I had, and it's a minor one, is the order of the final scene (which I touched on in my intial review of the show). It should have ended on the scene with Gus and Lorne for maximum impact. It would've given it that pilot ending jolt, but it chose to end on the scene with Carradine and his daughter,
