I am feeling SOoooo SMUG right now as someone who, at the usually assholish age of 12, actually listened to my auntie when she told me about sunscreen helping me avoid wrinkles when I got older. Age 12...in the late 80's, y'all! (Where my auntie even picked up this wisdom so early on I've no idea but she's hella

My husband (who is British and didn't know how nice Canadians stereotypically are before living in the US with me) absolutely LOVES the following (silly) joke of mine:

I personally love your response. "You over reacted," sounds like what a younger me might have said to myself (always worried about rocking the boat like a "good" little female) but now I'd be like, "And, EVEN IF so...who gives a shit? He's an ass!" Well done, you, I say!

The description of the episode didn't make it sound like she was anything more than a weird hobbyist - but perhaps?!

There was a Wife Swap USA rerun on in the UK yesterday that had a family where the mom tended to multiple dolls - even though she also has real kids. I was intrigued (by the episode description on the Guide) but absolutely could not watch.

My ears are bleeding. I swear, EVERY SINGLE time I click on a Minaj video/hear a song I think I have just heard the worst thing possibly existing in the universe...until the next time I click/hear one of her songs. My. Gawd.

I got a perverse thrill out of this statement. Sounds like a quote straight out of the mouths of several friends' husbands over the years. "But I don't understand. You don't have to work! You should stay home," kind of stuff. HOW DOES IT FEEL, BOYS?!*

I'd trade Arya for Tyrian.

Newer planes (like 777, 787) are way better than, say, the 767 or 757, but generally what you'll find most of the time is that there are pockets that are hot and pockets that are cold and/or different passengers are complaining about the opposite thing at the same time. One guy may have just yelled at me because it's

Yes. The new seats/new planes have all sorts of cord hookups and chargers. USB, multi-converter, you name it. (No one realizes it, but on my company's new seats/planes you can even use the existing seatback screen to watch whatever photos/programs are on your own iPod. It's pretty cool, though you do have to have your

I have a flight attendant friend who got called into the office over a bad letter, written about the crew generally. One of her particular (but typical) complaints? "The flight attendants refused to turn up the temperature in the cabin even though it was so cold there was FROST on the window!" Haha, #Dumbass

"the league has reportedly asked each potential performer to donate "a portion of their post-Superbowl tour income to the league..."

I actually have a pretty slight frame, but also dig shopping in the maternity section. I LOVE the comfortable, stretchy fabrics and ruching!I get so many compliments when I wear some of the tops!

So, I'm sorry to read so many of us have such shitty stories. However, I'm so glad to know what thick company I'm in. It really IS "them". (I may not have been perfect in dating, but if anything I always played it too cool so...)

Ah. I understand the complaint better now (nit just that one responds, but that it makes it a featured comment). Thanks for clarifying that.

I'm glad you responded to that Mark. You had a good response that made me smirk. The guy's comment was an eye-roller but not a blood pressure burster. (Also, maybe she WAS a psycho. Not likely. Not what I think. But possible. At the very least, the "rest of the story" is something to think/wonder about). Mostly,

A thing that generally makes me crazy is that the US doesn't HAVE to have such "all or nothing" attitudes about career-type work schedules. Flexibility is THE reason I have remained a flight attendant even though I have plenty of academic work options/experience. My sister has turned down several offers that would

Is there a source for the flight attendant confessing? Just asking as I've not been able to find any follow ups to the original report myself and am interested. Thx!

Wow. Reading these replies about women's fear of being assaulted while sleeping on a plane is super disturbing. As a long time flight attendant, I've never ever once had any such accusations/situations occur on a flight and have slept my way through every flight (as a passenger) possible without a moment's hesitation.

Ok, WHY do these stories always make a deal of spelling out when a pilot was female? Absurd and absolutely pointless. FFS, people.
