While I love almost all of the podcasts on this list, I'm a little bummed that some of my favorites didn't even nab a vote. First, Nerd Poker is a hilarious comedy podcast, and the serialized nature of the D&D game gives it a fun energy and characters to root for, which is a nice change of pace from other Earwolf

I actually have Stranded in my Netflix queue right now!

While watching this episode, I kept feeling as if I'd heard some of the ideas before. Then I remembered some article or NPR program from awhile back about this new company that was working on a service that would allow you to keep updating Facebook, Twitter and such after you die. The idea is that you would give

I actually could understand Abbie getting freaked out by haunted houses. She's someone who's at her best when confronting a problem head on, when she's facing an obstacle that may be weird, but in a way she can handle. Haunted houses are creepy because the threat is invisible, malevolent, and could be right next to

Look, you've obviously got some personal trust issues that are coloring your thoughts on the subject. I can empathize; it's something I've had to deal with as well. But it's unhealthy to go through life with this kind of cut and dry mentality. It's just not how the world works. Giving your spouse the benefit of

I live in a Midwest suburban area. Very safe, very bland, blah blah. The other night, someone reported a discharged weapon in my neighborhood, just a single shot. I was out when it happened, so you can imagine how surprised I was to see every entrance to my neighborhood blocked by cops. Cops with assault rifles,

I didn't know that was him! The first episode of that show is one of my favorite pieces of zombie fiction. That outbreak scene in the station is thrilling and scary, especially for a British TV budget. It wore out its novelty pretty quickly, though, but it was still fairly entertaining nonetheless.

I love how everyone's "taking sides" about who was right and who was wrong, because that's totally the point of the episode.

Aww I heard about the remake but didn't know they altered the premise. I liked the idea of Downey Jr playing Liam. It would be a creepy subversion of his usual schtick; affable and charming until the suspicion kicks in.

Is it sad that a Fox cartoon has the best depiction of a happy married couple on TV? And not because their lives are perfect, but because even when they argue it's obvious they still like each other. Too many TV couples turn marriage into a war, but Bob and Linda are actually friends.

That was one of my favorite subplots of any episode so far. It could have turned out so cliché and horrible; when he revealed that he's gay I actually cringed a bit. But then they went this amazing direction with it, and Bob's reaction to the escalating events is great. Most shows would have made the easy joke and

Yeah I just kinda figured it all worked itself out. It would have been hilarious though if the Doctor returned to the room after the memory loss wore off and the humans and Zygons had just killed each other the moment they remembered who was who.

That's a lotta Zygon…

Replying to myself here I guess, but I was a bit disappointed that we didn't even get a glimpse of Amy and Rory. I know it would have taken a lot of narrative wrangling, but I would have loved the Doctor to see them again, even for a moment. For all the cameos and callbacks, that felt strangely absent to me.

There was even a picture of Rory just out of frame next to Clara's. I'd recognize that checked shirt and weird vest/jacket anywhere.

I had a bit of a giggle fit at 10's description of his "machine that goes 'ding'. [ding!] I made it myself."

I'm assuming they're going to flesh out his character in coming episodes, just like with the other characters. At least I hope so, because I enjoyed him in this episode and I don't want him to become one-note. I like his aggressive, sudden loyalty.

They are the saddest, weirdest people in the world. Ben's line about worrying he might be murdered was one of my favorites. I do feel bad for all parties that he had to leave; the accountants genuinely thought Ben was the coolest person in the world, and cocky Ben is the best. He's even less cool when he's being

I was unsure of him at first, but his little conniptions during the soul dog scenes were hilarious. He reminded me of a friend of mine during his rant about needing to lie down.

You know, it never even occurred to me to make a "director's cut" joke until you mentioned it twice.
