Sucks. I just watched the post-retooling episodes on Hulu and they were good. Aside from the great leads, the supporting cast was solid and the writing felt like it was coming together, like a season 1 Parks or The Office where not everything was in place yet but with definite potential.

I don’t know the reasons either, but my guess is that’s how they pitched it to FX. I get Evan Peters getting top billing, even if his arc isn’t anywhere as compelling as the other characters’, but it’s pretty ridiculous for Dawson and Kate Mara to be listed in the top five even.
