Yo, CatAss, I still want to talk with you about a sewing project. I reached out to you on Twitter a while back but failed to connect with you. If you’re available, please LMK.

I hate December holidays too (in part because of my own personal tragic drama, now blessedly firmly in the past, but it does still affect me). Empathetic virtual hugs from this internet stranger, if you want ‘em.
At least you’re blessedly free of potential split ends? And you get to use less haircare product in your hair for a while? /silver linings
Welcome, Koa! And congratulations, Jez, on your anniversary. Now you are ten.
I’m always happy to see a Raven .gif.
Bless you for sharing this info with us.
Looks great! I miss having colored hair. I got a bad haircut earlier this month. Went to a new hairdresser with this pic of Nancy Whang as my style inspo:
Fellow music-loving Jezzies, there is a Pitchfork-hosted stream of performance, DJ sets and talks from the Day for Night Festival this weekend, airing here:
Sadly, that was my first thought upon hearing/reading this news.
This is great and all - truly - but it’s past time for De Blasio, et al to finally address commercial rent control in a meaningful way and to begin taking concrete steps to #SaveNYC already.
So far, the snoring is actually happening less often and less loudly than before the surgery. To my great surprise.
Yay! A bonus open thread!
I’m so sorry you’ve been enduring all of that - the pain and stress. You requested positive thoughts, so I’m sending ‘em to you, en masse.
Your girl was a beauty. You have my abundant sympathies.
Hello all. I’m late to SNS (as is my custom) but I have to break through the digital brick wall (like the Kool-Aid man, belting “OH YEAH”) and request assistance from you, my fellow lesbian shitasses.
Welcome to the dark side. Have an (overpriced) Apple. I have been here for years.
There is a terrific (but may be a little dated/not to your taste) 5-book series by Laura Antoniou that I highly, highly recommend. In order: The Marketplace, The Slave, The Trainer, The Academy and The Reunion. Ooh! And I see there is now a 6th book - The Inheritor - looks like it came out sometime near 2015.
Happy 10th anniversary, Jezebel. I can still remember the thrill of being ungrayed. I’ve met a few Jezzies IRL, got to ramble about George Michael in this space, and am truly grateful for all you fellow lesbian shitasses. May we see the end of this execrable administration, now, and soon. So mote it be ****
Props to you for being proactive. You’re essentially describing what my mother went through (twice!) - only there was little to no awareness of PPD then. I remember being keenly aware in my toddlerhood that something was terribly wrong with my eternally sad mom. Wishing you better days ahead, and soon.
Re: “Uncle Terry” - what took so fucking long? Seriously.
