I could do without the lengthy scenes of sexualized violence, and the Chromatics are in no way peers to Julee Cruise, but otherwise, I loved it too.

“But - my hungry guys -”
Thanks for the Paul F. Tompkins .gif. I love that dapper guy.
Holly Hunter played Billie Jean King in a decent movie from 2001, “When Billie Beat Bobby.” It’s worth finding and watching. I recommend it. I’m happy to skip this Emma Stone-helmed reboot since Hunter was so great in this one already.

Same, same, same here, with white-hot passion.
I just don’t hear Cyrus’ “good voice” to which everyone refers. “Wrecking Ball” is mainly composed of her kind of yodeling, then yelling. It’s been such a depressing time for pop music. We get so little in the way of interesting singers (to say nothing of interesting melodies), and then we’re forced to hear their…

Totally apropos for May the 4th as well, so kudos.
If that’s the case, you might want to skip it or wait to see it later - a lot of the sex/rape stuff, while not graphic, can be hard to watch. It was hard for me. I still really wanted to see the series so I powered through it. mazzieD described it well. I do love that it’s not GoT-level sex, at least not yet (I just…
