What else do you want to do while there? What kind of food do you like? Do you want to stay close to your place or do you want to adventure?

I’m further south than you and still don’t have many friends (moved here a few years ago). Join us at the next SoCal Jez meetup if you are so inclined!
Thank you for the advice. I find the whole thing very daunting so I appreciate the info that you provided!
I haven’t seen any of this season yet! My mother and i just finished watching the previous season. I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve not figured out how we can watch the current season as U.S. viewers.
And there’s nothing wrong with that! I just felt as though there was a forced air to it. Didn’t think Foxworthy was the greatest fit as host - Trisha Yearwood, Sunny Anderson or Ree Drummond would have been better, I think.
I love its current/existing iteration because it is free of commercials/”I’m not here to make friends” producer-created drama. I actually learn something about baking each time I watch, and it’s gentle and contemplative most of the time. I find it inspiring and lovely. There was an American version hosted by Jeff…
I nominate Tamal as the runner up for Most Scrummy. Ruby is too thin for my personal taste, but something about her haunting beauty leads me to enter her name on the list as well.
The delectable, gorgeous Iain Watters. Scrummy, as Mary Berry might have said.
That’s the one. I fervently wish that this Gothamist story came from a bad dream that you and I shared, á la The Dark Crystal, instead of what it is: an actual thing that happened.
Oh gods. Not this “pioneering” bullshit again. Wasn’t there a different dude who claimed that *he* was the pioneer of Williamsburg recently? Ugh, now I’m going to have to blitz into the rabbit hole to find it.
I always liked and rooted for Alexis. There was always something special to me about him/her. Alexis, you will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to the garish sun!
Can you use it as a cuticle oil (I know - an expensive cuticle oil - but at least it won’t go to waste) or on your dry, styled hair as a finishing serum? Otherwise you could try listing it on Depop where you could recoup at least some of what you spent on it...
The DDF Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew is FTW in my book. Lasts a long time with next to no fragrance
I was super-psyched, but immediately fretted that I had been punk’d.
Obviously we don't know each other. But I still feel justified in saying: you're a good egg because you care and because you tried. You did not remain silent. You stuck your neck out. Hugs from me to you.
As I see it, if you don’t share their bigoted perspective, then you’re playing a beneficial part of breaking the pattern.
Wishing you the best, smoothest recovery possible.
