The vast, vast majority of NIN songs are not any kind of metal, industrial or otherwise. Reznor dabbles in it when he’s having an especially angry afternoon, but let’s not act like NIN is Ministry or Godflesh.

Nowhere near as embarrassing as the “I take responsibility” video, where celebrities take ownership, unwarranted, of their involvement in systemic racism. Like, cool guys, but you all are making it about yourselves as per usual, eh?

It’s hard to imagine now how huge Batman was back in 1989 for those of us at school. The teaser poster alone was a must have thing, along with Batman lunchboxes (when they were still a thing).

If anyone hasn’t seen The Sweet Hereafter yet, just go do it. Ian Holm & Sarah Polley both absolutely crush their roles and the movie is just haunting and beautiful and depressing.

I like how he makes it sound like they did something completely unheard of here, despite the fact that scene breakdowns like that are a basic tool of the trade. Maybe the risk assessment is new, but they already had a shot list.

It never does.

I mean, if you’re gonna start firing reality show stars for racism, there won’t be any reality show stars left (at least white ones), because that vanity and entitlement goes hand in hand with lack of empathy and critical thinking.

Radcliffe says in his piece that he doesn’t want “press outlets” to interpret this as “in-fighting” between him and Rowling, so we won’t do that (perish the thought)

Apatow’s problems stems from his experience with improv.

apologize to whom?

this movie never resonated with me at all.  i hate it.  the message seems to be “some people are just better than others, and they deserve special privileges and the laws shouldn’t apply to them”.

Can you recommend software for this? I’d love to do this.

You must not have gotten the AVClub style guide. It’s “...Woody Allen (unfortunately)...”

Came here to confirm the AV Club commentariat, even in its diminished state relative to the good old days, was on top of this vis-a-vis Runaway.  Was not disappointed!

Gotta go with Buck Laughlin in my favorite Christopher Guest movie Best In Show, too. Every time I’ve thought about Fred Willard and laughed in the recent past, it’s usually because of his scenes in that movie. It’s not easy to steal scenes when you’re up against The Avengers of sketch comedy like he is in that film,

I assume he already was, otherwise I would have been riding an elevator with Bill Bixby

I skipped to the end of this article to say I hate what you’ve done to the site.

I don’t understand what takes so long. Just use a dvd rip
