PC’s completely earnest and optimistic journey just makes my heart ache for her. I want her to be happy and get what she wants so much. I’m expecting a giant fucking trash fire of an ending with murder and/or suicide but I’m hoping PC ends up just walking away relatively keep on, keeping on, doing the best she can.

Princess Caroline is my favorite character. It’s empowering to see such a headstrong woman struggling under the weight of her independence. It shows that you don’t have to be weak to ask for help. I want to hug her.

A movie with dialogue in English can screen in the U.S. and compete against all the other Oscar eligible movies. The international category is for movies that don’t play in the U.S. because they’re not in English. Without this rule, The King’s Speech would have won the international category as well as best picture.
