Stephen’s wife (also named Matilda; I’ve seen them referred to as “Empress Maud/e” and “Queen Matilda” to avoid confusion. Stephen’s mother was also named Matilda.) was also pretty badass. I would pay good money for a show that features those two women as the main characters facing off against each other.

Stacey Abrams is amazing, and if there was any justice in the world she would be governor of Georgia right now.

“[Voters in Arkansas] look at the sacrifices that soldiers, sailers, airmen and marines make around the world, and they’re willing to bear some of those [economic] sacrifices in the short term to hopefully in the long term ensure our longterm prosperity and security,” Cotton insisted.

Yea, I mean, I have sympathy for these people, I really do, especially for their kids, who bear all the brunt and none of the responsibility for their parents voting habits. But at the same time, it’s like the story of the man who thought god would save him from the flood and ignored the boat and helicopter that could

You could get a job as a coffin builder! I’m assuming there is no requirement that you use your own products.

I don’t think I am going to have kids, but if I do, I am sure as shit not doing it with a male partner. If I end up with a woman who wants kids, then I’ll think about it, but no way am I suddenly becoming the person who has to do almost literally everything to care for a child, and deal with some guy not feeling

God, am I glad my body is getting cremated.

Yea, any military that would invade the U.S. (or the U.S. military if you are a “Jade Helm-esque” wackjob) have weapons that can hit you without ever being in your range of vision. Your 400 rifles aren’t going to help you when the King of Battle starts raining down on your ass from 15 miles away. Some artillery rounds

Yea, there is some strong passive voice going on, here.

I think she will start doing better once all the “ooo, look, a shiny new candidate!” stuff settles down and things like the debates actually start and her policies can get the attention they deserve. Apparently it’s too much to ask that the media learn literally anything from 2016 and not devote all their attention to

I mean, I would argue that yea, it is necessary to hold our candidates accountable and demand that they actually understand issues that are important to their potential constituents. Joe Biden has a bad habit of shooting off at the mouth, and given how cagey he has been about the Anita Hill thing, and how he still has

Except it’s a primary, which is literally the perfect time to not accept candidates that don’t give you what you want. That’s literally the entire point. I don’t need to waste my time with people who don’t seem to understand things that are important to me, because I can just chose someone who understands why unwanted

Possibly because in 2019 I want a presidental candidate who understands exactly why it’s not ok to sniff a woman’s hair. That’s a really, really low bar to clear. Why would I vote for him when I can vote for Senator Warren, who paid attention the day in Kindergarten when they told her to keep her hands to herself?

Biden’s responses to all these things have been...not good at best. Every time I see one of his cringe worthy sorry-not-sorry statements I donate another $10 to Liz Warren.

Wow, she might be the first person to ever actually move out of the Full House. (Seriously, they had like 20 people living there by the last season of the original show.)

Most people who have died in the military also did it before 2016, and therefore also didn’t vote for Trump. Screwing over kids seems like something we can just agree is wrong.

I mean, I get the sentiment, but a lot of the people being affected by this are children, of whom 0 voted for Trump (or anyone).

I am really hoping that Sen. Warren’s campaign is a slow burn, and that once the bloom is off the rose for some of these (white, male) candidates and their “novelty,” she will be able to emerge as a front runner. She is smart, competent, thoughtful, and incredibly progressive and that’s what I want in a president.

If removing Nazis from Twitter requires removing Republicans, that is a problem for the Republicans. Ban them.
