Our school was no longer a parish school, but very much still had the vibe of one, and it was a lot of students (like me and my siblings) who were there on a combination of scholarships, our church chipping in some money, grandma wanting us to get a good education and giving a little, and our parents scrimping and

*adjusts suspenders* way back in the day when I went to Catholic school (elementary and middle combined) we had to wear skirts or kilts (we all preferred the kilt because the skirts were oddly made and poofed out at the waist in a particularly unattractive manner), even in the winter. Because it was cold as f*ck in

Yea, and I mean... he had it coming. It’s not like her grandfather was dragged out of his home and through the streets and then strung upside down because he was Jewish, or Black, or disagreed with the regime in power, or any of the other very real things that innocent people were being hung for in the world at that

Possibly because “found innocent” isn’t a thing in the U.S. legal system. It is still super strange that they want him to pay money for a crime they can’t prove he committed.

So they are suing him for filing the false report that they do not have enough evidence to actually go to court for? That’s some circular “logic”.

She’s not going to date you, Don. Give it a rest.

It’s Hollywood. That more than enough of an age gap for one of them to play a 20 year old and one to play a 40 something.

Well, the Devil does get all the best tunes...

That photo of Rooney Mara smoking just makes me wonder why she has never played the younger version of Winona Ryder’s character in a movie.

I’m an atheist, too! It’s just such a great movie, and the performances (particularly Anderson’s, but shout-out to Yvonne Elliman’s Mary Magdalene) are just so damn good that I can’t help but love it.

Watching Jesus Christ, Superstar, as a young and impressionable child has given me a high level of contempt for versions of Christ’s life not set in the 1970s and featuring Carl Anderson and his cleavage. (Pictured: what Bible stories should look like, according to me)

That’ll work, too.

Well, lady, you are in luck, because the Bible actually specifically addresses this issue! Let’s crack open the good book and see what you and your sons should do!

It’s less than the cost of one of Betsy’s numerous yachts, if that helps put it in perspective.

A lot of the media in this country has gone out of their way to not do any kind of self-reflection on how they handle the news in a post-2016 world.

In addition to how obviously Islamaphobic and xenophobic this is, it is also just such a mean-spirited and petty way to deliberately ruin what should have been a wonderful day for Rep Johnson-Harrell. I mean, she was there with her whole beautiful family, happy and excited and proud to get sworn in, and then this shit

Marchioness of Cholmondeley

Yea, I was wondering if this wasn’t perhaps triggered by the high-profile suicides of two other survivors of a mass shooting in the last couple of days. It seems notable that this came so soon after reports of the deaths of the Parkland survivors.

I also wonder if the suicides of the Parkland survivors might have triggered something for him. There is some evidence that suicide is “catching” (for lack of a better word), especially among people who share a common experience, like they do with gun violence. It seems relevant that this occurred right after two

I mean, it’s usually pumps or replacement parts so they can fix their ship. That’s usually pretty well received.
