Unfortunately I do not have access to the archives of The Scotsman were the interview originally ran, but for BuzzFeed to post a whole section of a falsified article presenting it as fact is an interesting idea.

Yup. The issue of reparations is one that's a whole messy affair that I'm sure others are better at going into than me, but these countries that were controlled by others looking to take as much of said countries' resources did suffer and at least making some effort in order to write those wrongs should be done. And

Yeah that whole (what was it again?) "Five pounds a meal for a week" thing that did was so…eye roll worthy. I know they meant well, but you really can't see that eating like that for a week all the while you don't have to worry about providing food for a family, paying your bills so you don't end up on the street,

I'm going for the second one. I posted a link to an article where he admits that his mother didn't want him to use Cumberbatch because, "They'll be after you for money," when discussing his family's links to slave trade in the Caribbean. He says a a whole host of other troubling things in that interview but want stood

Apparently his mother did say such a thing to him. Here's a link to an article about it on Buzzfeed.

Aw. It was Princess Mononoke that was the one that's more suited for older teens for me. The Wolf God's moving head attacking Lady Eboshi freaked the fuck outta me.

Ew at this whole statement. The more word diarrhea that comes out this man's mouth the more I can't with the fangirling about him. Why would you even come out and admit to this. I'm glad you don't feel as bad about what went down because it's not "Nazi money".

Or even help fund a school or figure out ways to uplift poor black communities in Barbados would be nice, though I doubt that will ever happen. It's really weird finding out that the ancestors of Cumbersnacks more than likely enslaved people on my mother's side of the family :/

I know, she don't need all them damn presents! :(

His films are an example of why I can't with the excuses of not being able to write young girl characters that boys and girls can enjoy or that a female character has to be "beautiful". They're not obsessed with in love or finding love, you can see the growth of his lead characters throughout his films, my favorite

Why do people forget about Lilo and Stitch?! It was so good, it felt so amazing to see a girl in a Disney film that had body that wasn't too out of the realm of reality and was going through issues that I could relate to.

Cocoa Butter is a girl's best friend.

Have you heard the rest of the album? Is it as good as the hype is? I'm not a Bey fan like that, so I'm not in a hurry to download or buy album.

I haven't used heat in my hair for years. :/ I'm not sure what the problem is. The last time I DC'd was a couple of weeks ago, using Qhemet Biologics castor/ moringa oil mix. That seemed to help it a bit. I like coconut oil to detangle, but it makes my hair too greasy to keep it in. Maybe I should consider getting one

That's understandable. I can't give an opinion on the album as a hold, but from the couple of songs I've hear from it, "Flawless" and "Drunk In Love". I do think she's a feminist but her application of it in regards to her real life and flawed, but I'd say the same thing about many other people who are self-described

That's great to hear! I haven't use chemicals in a long time either, but that being natural struggle is real! I wish I could tell if my kinky hair is actually healthy or not. It's been growing better since I started doing finger detangling but the texture is stringy and it doesn't seem to hold moisture well.

Aww. :( I hope her hair grew back okay. That Just For Me relaxer murdered my poor hair. Before I got one it used to be at my shoulders, afterwards it touched my ears and had the fun of dealing with painful sores.

She needs to loosen those damn things up around her edges or wear a bigger braid style because it does not look comfortable.

I remember getting the flames of satan on my sclap in the form of a hot comb every other Sunday until I was about 10. Fuck hot combs.

What are you talking about? The reason ninjacate wrote that article was because people WERE talking about the racial impactions of Miley's performance, but Jezebel didn't feel like that was an important enough topic to warrant discussion until NinjaCate's article got so much attention.
