I’m sure this guy did some evil things but... I don’t know, he couldn’t have been worse than Murdoch, that’s something.

Sorry, Barsanti, but when you have the body of work that CK has, I don’t think he will fade into obscurity. Geniuses often have issues and oftentimes they’re sexual in nature. He’s not fucking Roman Polanski, Bill Cosby, etc. either. He didn’t drug anybody, he didn't force anybody to do anything. He had two daughters…
Retard.
We should just cancel all the funny comedians and replace them with 24 hours a day of Hannah Gadsby standing on stage and crying.
His show was canceled, his movie was shelved, he probably won’t be making any more of either, and no streaming service or TV network is willing to run his specials. He might still be able to do live performances, but aside from that I’d say his career is about as derailed as it can be.
“Toxic.” A word that, like “racist,” “fascist,” “-istphobic,” and all the rest, has been so over-mis-used so as to lose not only it’s meaning, but it’s sting.
Asked women unprofessional and uncomfortable questions 30 years ago?
Wait, is Dave Chappelle allowed to be friends with people the AV Club isn't friends with?
Here, let’s add another point to the list of why people don’t like the left - the inability to understand that rightfully criticizing one side for being stupid doesn’t mean supporting the other side. Believe it or not, it’s not that difficult to be anti-racist, sexist, etc. and also think that cancelling a screening…
Which is probably why this Lois Leveen lady shouldn’t have chosen this as the hill to die on and given them ammo.
Yes, Kindergarten Cop is only a movie. So are Birth Of A Nation...
The article which brought this to the wider public’s attention definitely characterizes the show environment as not being Ellen’s fault, that she was kept in the dark as to the bullying, racist environment created by the people she hired to run the show.
Want to make Harry Shearer’s voice work for a non-white character a lot less problematic? Make Bill Cosby the new voice of Dr. Hibbert.
Ugh, what a fucking nightmare. Though I guess I’m grateful that Carruth decided to just out himself as an abusive creep, instead of letting fans continue to wonder why his career never really got off the ground despite his obvious talent.
Well, I guess I don’t want Carruth to make another movie after all.
“That’s not extremely great, as it’s actually just under 42 percent, but it is better than it has been in the past.”
It’s September 3, 2012 and I’m mindlessly scrolling through my tumblr feed when I notice several people reblogging pics of Michael Clarke Duncan. I click on the Michael Clarke Duncan tag and find links to news stories confirming his death and many, many tribute photo posts. One in particular is seared into my brain:…
Ray Fisher stating in an earlier panel that “every single one of those words, every single one of those comments” that he made about Whedon’s “abusive” on-set behavior, “is true,” it really wasn’t a great day for Joss Whedon’s public reputation.
Fisher’s criticism of Whedon feels...needlessly passive-aggressive.
Yeah, it’s cool that he stands by “every single one of those words,” but he hasn’t said very many words on this at all.
