Oh, come now, Denziloe - you disappoint me.
If that is a serious question - of course there are. Namely businesses that chop down trees. Also, those that really enjoy and take advantage of the fact that we (in America, anyway) have a national interstate, easily allowing cargo and goods to be shipped coast to coast. Trees had to be cut down for that.
Quite alright. It still sends a slight wave of repulsion down my neck, but at least he doesn't indulge in any other self-referential hi-jinks; else I would crack.

Now, if we can only logically extend the argument to, "Why writers of math textbooks need English majors," bundle it up in a package that will sell to every American textbook publishing house and/or school administration... and I can die a happy soul.
