I’m not a fan of the series (Tom Cruise is just so Tom Cruise in everything), so I was dragged to this by my husband. Loved the action scenes, but I was LOLing at all the exposition that was slipped into dialogue.

I got up to go to the bathroom during the running and got back just in time to see him jump out of a window.

Google is no help right now but I definitely saw a clip of the Fallout cast all lined up at a red carpet event and Simon Pegg is like, “Do it, Henry! Do it” and Cavill is all, “Noo.... no... sigh... okay, someone hold my mic” and then he does it and they are all guffawing and the joy of it is so. freaking. adorable.

Also Angela Bassett is a ton of fun as the greatest Mission Impossible stock character, “government bureaucrat who is sick of Ethan’s nonsense but then realizes that Ethan’s nonsense is necessary to save the world” may she take Alec Baldwin’s spot in the next movie.

I love that picture.  The Obama’s more so than almost any other public couple seemed to have a real and generally happy marriage. I loved that they seemed to show genuine affection for each other while acknowledging that marriage takes work and that they don’t always agree on everything.

There are lots of seniors who, by grace of good genes or magic, are hale and hearty and spry until the very end. Aging is inevitable; but not everyone ages the same way. It can be the little things: not smoking, staying active even if it’s only a little, wearing sunglasses to stave off cataracts, etc.

I love Dorinda so much and my jaw was on the floor during that fight - even worse, when she fucking doubled down in her confessional, which is filmed way afterwards and (usually) sober. I really hope she’s embarrassed after seeing what actually happened in that fight.
