Re: Laura Linney, the better half and I just started watching ‘Ozark’ on Netflix.....HIGHLY recommend it. She’s good, but Jason Bateman is even better. The first episode really gets going quickly, it’s quite engrossing.

I just love that the ‘no woman’ aspect is repeated for multiple communities. It’s a nice reminder that, worldwide, overt misogyny is alive and well!

I always thought an interesting alternate history would be one where Reconstruction actually continued, and all the freed slaves got their 40 acres and a mule.

Laura Linney asked the best question - why hasn’t a member of the GOP stepped up to protect the party? The only conclusion I come to is that they are in on something. People that are that educated (some of these people go to school for 20+ years) do not have that little forethought - this is a total burial of that

I would even take Romney-dull at this point.

I am old enough to remember people not voting for Gore because he was dull.

“Again, this is Donald. Trump. Just call me back when you get this message. Donald Trump. President.”

I would believe how bald he was (he died in ‘09—fucking cancer). I also miss grown ups (sex, drugs, jobs, kids, jobs you hate, marriages falling apart, divorces, cheating (from all sides) and drinking to escape) in country music.

...that’s the beauty of it...

The music! I was waiting for someone to mention the music. It was the best part IMO.

You know what? I dig it. Like a red MAGA hat, it lets me know who to avoid

We live in earthquake and landslide country here, with an earthquake made all the more terrifying since we haven’t a good shaker since the Northridge quake in 1994. And those hills are extraordinarily prone to damage from both an earthquake and mudslides. Those other monstrosity homes are also spread out over

I freaked the hell out when I saw that guy. It looks like he’s completely bald and someone with actual hair is positioned perfectly behind his head!

I work in affordable housing, which includes managing construction of units. The regulation hoops you have to jump through to build and construct things, along with dealing with city and county inspectors is pretty complex and there are consequences if you don’t follow them. So this is complete and utter BULLSHIT that

Is there some kind of horrible, arrogantly obvious men’s gray wig trend coming back into vogue? There’s a nervy, eccentric awesomeness about it...

Starship slander!

There two very similar rich people birthday parties in both series, but I haven’t finished Divorce yet.

“This house will last forever.”

I thought it was hilarious. The characters are deeply flawed, but I still cared about them.

I have only watched one scene, featuring an off-broadway gender-reversal of Streetcar Named Desire. I haven’t had a big gut-laugh like that in ages! This trailer though does nothing for me and has me wondering how possibly the scene could have made me laugh so much.
