This WaPo article details the process (as much as the public can know of it, anyway). The secretary of defense could decline to follow orders to begin the process, but based on Trump firing Sally Yates for “betraying” him, that’s not much of a reassurance. The SoD could be fired, then DT moves to the next in command.

Yes, that’s an interesting possibility — and maybe smaller economies will be the ones that are flourishing in a couple of generations. I’m curious what will happen to the Western countries that have been able to provide a strong social safety net if they have to increase their military spending to deal with Russia.

Protestant, and I’ve been doing the same. The problem is that the thought that pops into my head after that is, “This is the job YOU’VE been given, get to work.”

What keeps me from going crazy is remembering that while I am exhausted and emotional from hearing about refugees, and mad as hell about SCOTUS, and losing all of my free time to reading everything I can and calling elected officials, there is a woman that put her baby in a boat to try to get him to safety. And a mom

We’d never be able to agree on a uniform.

Plus, the weather will be really nice up there soon. AltCaribbean.

My spouse’s parents grew up in Nazi-occupied and then Russian-occupied Poland. Right now I’m glad their austerity has been passed down. We thought about retiring there, but now that’s out of the question.

Unfortunately if the US sinks, very few places on Earth will not be affected. I guess maybe North Korea will be fine?

Agreed. Stock up on water and canned goods. Focus on getting your house in order. Best case scenario is that this is an inept administration and only some people will die due to their policies, and hey, you’re prepared for a bad storm. Worst case scenario...the darkest things I can imagine no longer seem implausible.

Most Republicans I know feel this way — that their party is wrong. They need to be speaking UP.

That’s a great idea. Based on the large crowd at his last town hall, he had no idea people didn’t want him to be the anti-choice ambassador for our district.

I love this show so much. I had a low-level freak out last night when I was trying to find the latest episode on the DVR. I thought my TV robot had failed me and stopped recording the show, but then I remembered it is on a mid-season break. I should go back and watch from the beginning!

What if you call Lipinski’s office and ask about his constant voting with the Republicans, and the guy on the other line says everything is “Obama’s fault.” Can I be mean to that guy?

What is it with him and Jay Mohr wanting so badly to be involved in the Housewives world?

Glad I’m not the only one who remembers this. I went to look it up and found the article, and reconfirmed my dislike for him all over again. I mean, she was obviously messed up at the time, but to write about it for JANE MAGAZINE?

Ugh, it’s so bad. About 2 dozen of us got it several years ago after attending a get-together in support of our friend when his mom died. We were so sick we couldn’t go to the funeral, but many others still had to go. Pall bearers were struggling not to vomit, people were clogging up the funeral home’s bathroom one

And his constant presence as a celebrity does not seem in proportion to his work output. He’s just always around somehow. Remember that whole deal with him and Natasha Lyonne because he was her landlord?

Agreed. I love FOB, but every other character >>>> Eddie.

There are two important ways:
1) GO. Enjoy them. Tell people about them. The NPS isn’t just about nature, there are many important historical sites that tell the American story — warts and all.

It’s such a great show — give it another shot! I’m not much of a sitcom watcher, but I’ve seen every episode of FOB.
