Since I am often cooking for one, the toaster oven is usually in use. Putting a plate on top of the toaster oven is a great way to warm it as well.  (I’ve even been known to put a ramekin of butter on top of the toaster oven to melt it when I want/need melted butter.)

While, it’s more money, another option is to simply rent an ICE car for road-trips.
