The only thing we're "high" on is an appreciation for well-sketched out female protagonists. Yes, a little heroine is all we need.

Oh sure, they're both totally valid and often interesting things to look at in a film or an episode. But they shouldn't be the sum total of your review at the expense of looking at what the episode did in terms of the story it was telling or the development of the people moving that story along.

Yes, let's focus on representation and production and give the short shrift to minor trifles like plot and character development. Best way to judge any episode of television, I say.

I had that thought too, but I wondered if it was just a coincidence.

The A.V. Club

And its Q-rating is through the roof!

They went back to it very very briefly in the last season when they're talking about going after a re-Evil'd Anya, and Buffy brings up the fact that she had to kill Angel and Willow told her to "kick his ass" to which Willow replies "I never said that", but it kind of gets lost in the heat of the debate.

I disagree. I hate her as a person, but love her as a character, because she's exactly the kind of daughter that Lyvia would have raised.

It looks like the NFL is getting increasingly excited about Jet Li movies on a yearly basis.

So this means you'll get to watch the game with your buddy from out of town, right?

No clue if it's a later effort to bury the hatchet, but John K's done two couch gags for The Simpsons, so there at least can't be too much continuing animosity between the two shows.

The finger thing means the jockeys!

The A.V. Club

Like Dennis, I liked the episode's explorations of the extent to which Apu is a stereotype and the push-and-pull between him and his nephew over that issue, but I just don't think the folks behind the show constructed a good enough episode around that idea to justify the grade or the positivity of the write up.

What about good ol' Chaz Busby!?

I think it's some of both. I don't know if the thought process in the moment goes too far beyond "fuck that guy," but I also agree that bloodlust isn't necessarily the right term for it. Blood indifference maybe? "Hooray for my guys and to hell with your guys, and I'm going to do my best not to think about the

Oh yeah, like when a clown dies.

Suddenly the SEC's success makes way more sense.
