That moment when you thought you put it on the valve cover, but it’s actually on the radiator support. When you go to reach for the imaginary 10mm socket, the REAL 10mm socket gets bumped by your elbow, falls into the engine bay and makes a 1 in 1,000,000 bullseye into the most perfect-sized frame hole.

  • Places socket over seized bolt.

This is currently the oldest known NYC manhole cover in service. It’s dated 1862 and was part of the Croton Aqueduct that first brought fresh, unpolluted drinking water to the city from Westchester, NY.

For so many extremely good reasons, yes.

Ugh, GM “build standards”. Subaru suddenly got new assembly machinery so they could torque everything to GM’s specs for the 9-2X. Which means that many bolts were severely over torqued compared to what was needed. On all Impreza’s.

It was killed because people finally got tired of lame badge engineering. This isn’t some kind of mystery. I went and looked at one, and compared it to the Bravada, which was also a badge engineering train wreck, and thought to myself, “If you were TRYING to kill a brand, this is how you’d do it.”

EV batteries are composed of scarce, expensive materials. Hybrids and PHEVs use much smaller versions of those same batteries. The materials used to make a typical 75kWh EV battery could have been used to make roughly 50 hybrid batteries or 5 PHEV batteries. The battery in a single Hummer EV could have made 133

“The automotive press, including myself, should be eating humble pie over this. I’ve written about Toyota’s strange trepidation around pure-electric vehicles many times before around these parts. It just always seemed odd to me that the company responsible for endearing hybrids to the public has seemingly lagged

Sadly, he’s a q-tip in a suit who just wants to be liked (and of course I voted for him in the general election; I am not insane).

You’re assuming that people paying these prices will still have the money left to put down on an EV. Even if I got one i’d have to own it for YEARS to make up the cost of the fact my car is already paid off and all I need is gas/inspections vs dropping thousands for an EV.

Personally, I think we should keep these gas prices high and provide discount cards to low income people so they aren’t driven further into poverty.

There’s a pretty huge amount of Russian assets that are currently seized in Western countries. Not just frozen - seized. What Russia has just done WRT these planes (and is threatening to do with other Western owned assets within Russian borders, such as manufacturing facilities and oilfield equipment and what not -

I think you’re missing some of his previous statements on the subject. His perception of the Russian identity is ‘patriotism, collectivism and solidarity’; derzhavnost and gosudarstvennichestvo. He perceives Western individualism as a weakness, and instead reorders history by claiming that authoritarian control of

Putin wants nothing more than a return to full Soviet Era lock down and control. People can’t leave? He loves it. Western companies lose a couplr decades of capital investments? Perfect. Just in time to seize their assets and reassert collectivisation.

Putting a touch screen on a bike, then saying ‘you don’t need to use it’ means it’s a useless feature, and needs to be removed, or its human interface is poor, and you’ve decided it’s too hard to operate, so you can’t/won’t use that functionality.

Because to most brain-dead cagers, you are.

Weight doesnt matter on a bike to good riders.”

I bought my 1993 Zx-11 for 4 grand 10 years ago. More then enough bike for me...

If it costs a lot of money, yes
