At least there will be a third pedal to feel.

The pedal feel will be
garbagesynthesized
This was my initial thought as well but I don’t think it has to be. You’d be surprised at how much of the “pedal feel” is actually your whole body feeling the car reacting to your pedal movement.
Not necessarily. I think any brand would consider haptics for a marque with as pure a sporting heritage as Corvette. It’s by no means impossible to make drive-by-wire have good input and response. They should partner with Logitech or something.
Hmm, clutch by wire. Now lets take this a step further. Automated clutch with a clutch pedal by wire. Shift linkage by wire. Allow the driver to switch between automatic and manual mode. Let them have 3 pedals when on the open road and automatic in traffic.
..but if you ask me this pure sports car deserved a manual option too...
No manual — crushed me. $65,000 (granted, a guess) — finished me off.
“Will one of those updates be a manual gearbox? Don’t hold your breath. “While we know that a manual gives you more joy when driving,” Tada said, it’s just not that simple. The engine has a high torque output, and getting a manual to deal with that means having a heavier shift quality, which Tada doesn’t want.
I am 6'3" 175lbs and mostly legs. The Thigh/Legwell bites at the knees, MR2 is better there. Getting in the MR2 is more challenging but once you are under the wheel, it is more spacious than you thing (thank you lack of side crash protection).
No manual, no sale.
The fact that even BMW didn't put a stick in this car worries me. They still offer them in 2, 3, and 4 series. Puzzling they wouldn’t make it an option on the 2 seat impractical roadster of all things.
This BMW Z4 sDrive M40i Coupe (cough I mean Supra) will be automatic-only and priced at M2 or possibly M3/M4 levels. It weighs as much as them too, but without the utility of a backseat. It has the same engine I’ve got in my 340i (spoiler alert, this motor has been software upgrade-able to 380+ WHP since release), and…

This will be a failure. Poor exterior design, will be heavy and tech laden. Not a proper Corvette-fighting.
No manual... might as well have been a CUV.
All i see is an expensive Fiat 124 with no manual...sigh.
What do dealerships and movie theaters have in common? They both are spewing replays of decades old original content! Where are the big dreamers today??
What is Toyota’s rationale for continuing to cover up a car that basically looks production-ready? Is it some weird agreement with BMW to avoid stealing attention away from the Z4? Or is it a scheme concocted by some marketing twit in a misguided attempt to generate buzz?
no manual, no care.
