What blows me away about Donald Trump is his ability to paint himself as some titan of industry. He’s a man who got a “small loan” of $14 million dollars back in the 1970's (a little over $79M in current dollars) and an inheritance of over $200M in the early 80's ($1.1G in current dollars). Forbes last week estimated

I see your point and yet aren’t there things about others you admire while also recognizing they have their faults? I admire many people for many things and also dislike them for others. A world leader could be admired for their ability to speak to the public, maintain discourse or help the economy. It doesn’t have to

I think that could apply to a good deal of the population then. How many of us have worked for a company that we knew was bad yet did it for a paycheck? How many of us have done things for our own self interest rather than the common good? How many of us have lied or fibbed to save our asses? We all make ethical

Well said. I decided not to touch on how this country was founded and rather what made it progress. It was through embracing all (people, ideas, communities), albeit oftentimes slowly, that we became a nation that achieved so much. If Donald Trump wants to make America great again, he needs some serious history

That’s entirely possible.

I love everything you just wrote. Everything.

Forget about my two front teeth, all I want for Christmas is for that to come true.

Exactly. It was an “opener” and he couldn’t manage anything other than a blank stare and worse, saying “This must be my second Alepo moment”, to further remind the watching audience that he failed that test as well.

I had to look him up. Wow. So I’m conflicted. Suicide is not something I joke about and yet it’s Trump. I’ll just stop typing.

It made perfect sense and well said. They scream about patriotism yet exhibit none of it. They are willing to put a person in power as a “fuck you” to the country yet scream about USA!, USA!. Like their dear leader, they are charlatans and scumbags.

I totally agree. During the Chris Mathews town hall meeting last night, Bill Weld came off as highly intelligent, caring and down to Earth. Gary Johnson came off as a smug and stupid person who couldn’t name a single leader in the entire world that he admires. He later backtracked and said it wasn’t that he couldn’t

OMG! I love that program. I literally told my husband last Saturday that I would love to go to a taping. Wow. I will be listening on Saturday for sure now. :-)

Yeah, toilet paper.

My faith in the population has been shaken too. The fact that this is even close makes my skin crawl. If Hillary Clinton wins, these people still exist and their hatred will only get worse. If Donald Trump wins, these people will have a leader. Either way, it’s scary as hell.

Totally agree.

I must have even less empathy than you then. Ha! I don’t feel badly for them at all. For the past 15 - 20 years they have been slowly marching their party towards this. Rolling back womens rights, education, climate, science, just about every progress you can think of, all while cramming religion and “family values”

So much for his profound sorrow over the rape victim and her suicide. Knew it the second this shithead uttered the words. Studio told him to do it and they probably even wrote the tearful statement. Dude is as entitled as ever, he never changed.

Actually, it sounds like you do have empathy if you would (as a hypothetical Republican) vote Democrat. You knew it was the right thing to do. The ones that lack empathy are the Republicans who know he is a disaster, far worse than the opponent, but will vote for him anyways because he is in their party.

If I may, the anger is not at overweight white men. It is at overweight men who mock women for their size. I don’t think anybody here, at least I hope not, are making fun of body size. It is of the entitlement that many men have regardless of how they look.

If you want a laugh, the writers said they didn’t do that otherwise the viewers wouldn’t know who the person in the mirror was. Ha, ha.
