agreed my 2 year old Asus g75vw laptop plays it just fine with no issues with nearly all settings on high or ultra. It's not that demanding and seems very well optimized.

Runs smooth as silk on my laptop with a gtx 660m and an i7. Just saying: it seems to be sporadic, NOT a case of general poor optimization.
I was about to say the same thing. My PC also double as a work PC (graphic design), but I also hooked it up to my 55" HDTV via HDMI. Got a 360 gamepad with the PC dongle, a nice little wireless keyboard with a trackball, and I'm all set to play games on the couch. Best of both worlds.

As I sit here reading Kotaku, I'm streaming inline videos from some of the articles from my Surface 2 right to the One. I was watching my local news right before I started doing this. At one point, my phone rang, I said "Xbox pause" and it did. When I was done on the phone, I said "Xbox play" and it picked up right…
I wonder how they will handle multiplayer? Wouldn't it be neat if they made a multiplayer compendium that combined all the maps and play modes from all 4 games into one mode.
"When you start up a retro game on an old-school console, what you play will typically look antiquated"
The problem was related to "tickrate," or how many times the game updates the positions of bullets, counts damage, etc. Battlefield 4 uses a tickrate of 10Hz, or 10 times per second. Games like Call of Duty usually use 30Hz, and some like Counter-Strike go as high as 60Hz. So when you fired a bullet at a certain…
Nothing maulworthy in your post! If you don't find the game library compelling, there's no reason to buy it. But damn this game looks good. If you game with kids, this system is a no brainer. Speaking as a gamer who has an adult and parent mode, I really loved ZombiU, Wonderful101 and Pikmin3. There are actually quite…
Am quite stoked. My roomate is most likely picking up a Wii U specifically for this game, so I'll have access to a Wii U for some of the other Wii/Wii U games I've been looking at. Not to mention FUCKING EPIC DRUNKEN MARIO KART again. Shit, it's been years since I've done that.
Also possible: the people who didn't want it before aren't even the same people who now still want it.
Public opinion isn't this weird, monolithic thing.
It's powerful enough.
I can see this game making a lot of dough.
First DuckTales, now Rescue Rangers. At the rate Scott Bradlee and company are transforming classic cartoon themes…
Oh you're definitely dead - and it's arguable that you're more a clone than anything else, as your soul is traded for a vestige (which can be defined as a legacy or echo) which has enough specific qualities that you form a perfect imitation of your original body from material found in Coldharbour...which then is able…

Why do people buy bigger homes than they need? Or faster cars? Or more expensive clothes than what is necessary? Judging by your comment, I would say you can't afford these things, don't bash people who can.
Why? The one reason I can see for it in the article boils down to it being a derisive and snarky way to make the same criticism, and you as an employee of Gawker have absolutely zero grounds for trying to tell people not to act in that fashion.
