agreed my 2 year old Asus g75vw laptop plays it just fine with no issues with nearly all settings on high or ultra. It's not that demanding and seems very well optimized.

Runs smooth as silk on my laptop with a gtx 660m and an i7. Just saying: it seems to be sporadic, NOT a case of general poor optimization.

I was about to say the same thing. My PC also double as a work PC (graphic design), but I also hooked it up to my 55" HDTV via HDMI. Got a 360 gamepad with the PC dongle, a nice little wireless keyboard with a trackball, and I'm all set to play games on the couch. Best of both worlds.
