Well, they WERE silly and not for serious gamers for quite a while. Everything past UMK3 was a joke. Hell, I'd say it all jumped the shark after MK2, which was the apex of the series in my eyes.

Spent about 3 months playing this game. Blew Mario Kart Wii out the water. Hell, I'd say I'd take MNR over even Mario Kart Double Dash.
