I actually got a game for it (A One Piece game that I thought was a Beat 'Em Up, but turned out to be an RPG) and still not the system itself. I'll pick one up next time I go to Anime Weekend Atlanta, though. I still regret not picking it up last time.

It really is a shame that the 3DS is region-locked. I'm somewhat interested in picking one up, but the only games I played consistently and never got tired of on the DS were Jump Super Stars and it's follow-up Jump Ultimate Stars.

@billysan: It's also funny how people make fun of his character designs for being similar, when they happen to be so different compared to the vast majority of anime/manga character designs out there.

A lot of Beat 'Em Ups have held up. You just have to know where to look.

I cannot WAIT for Street Fighter Vs. Mortal Kombat.

Excellent - finally a time I tipped Kotaku and it paid off.

Luke actually did give into the Dark Side after the war. He turned back though, and got a badass Vader suit on top of it.

It's bad enough that the current library is sub-par - it's far worse that the games that we have 'to look forward to' aren't much better.

Well, I love SNK games, so I kinda doubt that's it. (And I certainly mained SNK characters in CvS2) The Marvel characters definitely play differently though.

I love it, personally. It hypes me up.

Actually, the SRK folks I've talked with have been fairly helpful to the new players. There's assholes alright, but a lot of the more established players have recognized that they need to bring new blood in.

Oh yeah, and for those that missed it: Here's the new EVO Moment. Except it wasn't at EVO. Still, this was amazing to watch live.

Well, this is about as much as they could gather using only achievements. It'd be nicer if they could use that part of the player profile that tells how often you use a character, but I doubt that's anywhere near as easy to pick up as achievements.

Amazing. Even with my main characters, I can only get 9 out of 10 - and for some reason, I have a MUCH easier time with Capcom characters than Marvel ones. There's some Marvel characters I haven't even gotten 5 missions with yet.

Honestly, if someone gave me a 'mercy' round, I'd feel dishonored more than anything. I want my opponent to play to their best. If they don't play their best, you can't learn how to counter them. Abusing a 'cheap' tactic is something I can't fault people for - you just have to find the way around that cheap tactic. In

Not terribly familiar with Deadpool, Akuma or Skrull, but I can tell you that you gotta make sure that each character is supporting each other character in some way.

Still loving MvC3. I got it on the PS3, though, so my efforts didn't contribute to this at all.

This is good to hear. I've not left the fighting game community since I first picked up the sticks, but I'm glad that new folks are getting into the genre. Unlike a lot of the close-minded 'diehards', I think Capcom made the right move in making MvC3 very accessible.

Time between MvC2 and MvC3: 11 years.
