Stealing someone’s car is not a “challenge”, it’s a crime.

I’ve seen a few things after my years of working at a dealership:

During my F&I days in Austin in the mid-90's, I saw some stuff. Some of it I can still remember. Here are a few quick gems.

Right on the nose, the weirdest thing I’ve seen at a dealership was a used car seller in Lincoln, NE who was locally known as “Weird Wally”. He sold junker cars for cheap, did shoddy work (when he deigned to do repair work), and never pretended to be anything other than what he was.

Case in point: A friend of my dad’s

1919?

I used to work at Tesla in the early days, and would moonlight for sales on the weekend doing test drives and evaluating trade-ins. One Day a Russian lady came into the dealer with her used model s and wanted to trade it in for a new one. It was odd to us because she had only bought it six months ago.

The weirdest thing I’ve seen at a dealer? Myself. When I worked for a big three dealership back in the 90s I stood out as possibly the only employee without a criminal record.

I had a 3-month car sales career but in those 3 months, man, the shit I saw.

You win

An angry wife pulling a gun on the receptionist of the Volkswagen dealership I worked at. Her husband, one of the salesmen, was cheating on her with one of the receptionists. She showed up and pulled a gun on the one at the front desk. It was the wrong one. In the end nobody got hurt, but that was pretty tense.

Sike? Do you mean to say “Psych”? Or was it something else? “Sike” is noun Scot. and North England.

+1. I leased one. It was effin’ awesome. I didn’t buy it out only because it was quite underpowered. It handled very well and my LWB version was huge on the inside while easy enough to park anywhere. Like, you know, some BBC show about a time traveler.

Ford Transit Connect

From certain angles with the hard top, it reminds me of this:

In other news, BMW is going to make one in 14 tones of gray.

This is by far my favorite novelty account on here.

1998 Green screen technology. I know, not on the car, but similar idea.

Beat me to it. Aero by Tony Stark.

Mercedes did it better, sooner

I think the single-piece carbon fiber wing (with the F logo somehow integrated into the weave) on the RC-F Track Edition is one of the most beautiful pieces of aerodynamics fitted to any car ever.
