Where the hell is “Idado”?

That’s a fair point--good catch.

You should read my comment on that other post about the Charger’s sound. Long story short, Dodge makes in-your-face cars, so they’ll keep coming equipped with in-your-face sound.

I hate to say it, but you could well be right.

If I owned a modern Challenger, it’d have to be a Scat Pack--naturally aspirated all the way. The Hellcats have more power, but supercharger whine bugs the crap out of me—not unlike the wimpy whir of electrics.

Meh, you gave your honest opinion--I like that.  Let’s suppose everybody in the world loved 2nd gen Chargers and hated all other cars.  It’d be a dull, dull world indeed--thankfully not true.

There are plenty of wimpy whir EV manufacturers to choose from--bye.

I know, right?

Given how the Charger’s sound isn’t recorded that well in the reveal vid, I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt because:

Flash! This just in:

Actually the truth is worse than your example. This is the 1st gen 4-door:

We’ll see how the production version pans out. I’m not holding my breath considering how this was the Chevy Volt concept:

You are absolutely right.  The ‘99 Charger not hitting production (as an ICE) was something I felt that Dodge totally blew it.

That’s a really good call.

The 1999 Dodge Charger concept:

You know me.

I have never waited so patiently for something to be revealed over my entire life—a solid year for the Dodge muscle car EV to be unveiled and now here we are.

I’m sure this’ll piss off someone, but sucky sound is sucky sound: those air-cooled flat-6s in those old Porsche 911s.

I could never drive a truck sporting a spoiler.  Even I have my limits to the embarrassment that I’m willing to suffer.
