The Lotus submersible from The Spy Who Loved Me (1977):

Didn’t say anything about the fastback selling at $11K.

On one hand, it’s in great shape for its age and the styling works well as a 4-door.

The state of being drunk.

I just find it so bizarre that a car with such meh styling could be considered a “muscle car”....

Every time I look at the photos of the box with its front wheels canted out so far, it makes my ankles hurt.

$27,890 in today’s money is like $17,200 in 2005 money. I use 2005 because that is when I had my first real job and I needed an affordable car and was looking to buy new. $17,200 in 2005 would buy you things like a Scion Tc (that’s what I bought), Nissan Sentra SE-R, a loaded Honda Civic* and...a Ford Ranger. The MSRP

What I see happening are games of brinkmanship where economists and accountants at manufacturers ask themselves two questions:

A brand new GX470 and brand GX550 would handle about the same. You are comparing a lifted 20 year old truck to a stock brand new truck. Not a great comparison. But I don’t see a GX550 being $50k+ better than a 470. To each his own.

I’m sure the car is semi-decemt, but I’m excited to actually be able to see the comments again. Hell, even the back half of the articles is nice to see.

Back in Arkansas at the University of Ark in Fayetteville and when I had first bought the Charger, there was a snowstorm combined with sleet. This was when the car had a 318, so the Dodge had torque but nothing dramatic in the torque department. I drove the Charger to the local mall and discovered how easily I could

Oh look!  It’s an aspect of robocars that even Captain Obvious could’ve pointed out....

There were cars that had color shifting paints, but only about 3000 or so Fords were ever actually painted in Mystichrome. It’s $26,000/gallon

Looking at the pictures, yeah something has changed.  I remember this back in the day there were a LOT of cars painted in this color(s).  I suspect they did something with the flake, I don’t remember a lot about it other than it being a REALY REALLY hard color to lay down.  Like I think you had to stay and a very

No. This shit was popular in the ‘90s. I lived through it once, watching the early tuner guys paint their Honda Civics in this nonsense.

Somehow, that paint enphasize everything I hate about metallic paints.

If every car was painted in Mystichrome, we would pine for a black one.

Autopilot is just a lane-keeping assist (LKA) with cruise control. My wife drives a 2023 Model Y and I have a Hyundai Santa Cruz. My Hyundai also has LKA. If you want the Tesla to drive for you, you’d have to upgrade to either “Enhanced Autopilot” or “Full Self-Driving.”

Who said that removing lidar and radar from the car was a bad idea when tesla did it?

A decade ago Volvo said they would accept “full liability” and cover the damages incurred by their very young self-driving tech. I remember seeing it in some movie where Gary Oldman was sleeping in the front seat of a S90. Never again has that feature surfaced...
