Compromises are made within every racing series, either through initial intention, or through learned experience. The first question that has to be asked is what are you wanting to compare? Driver skill, or manufacturing capabilities?

Spec series are (supposed) to compare drivers skill in like vs like vehicles.

This is a great way to make it absurdly expensive, this would literally just be, “whoever puts in the most money wins”.

The race series I’d like to see is one where the teams can build whatever the hell they like, but can only spend X amount of money per season to build the car, with the amount not being huge and the limit being rigorously enforced.

It’s Dunning Kruger. She has not engaged with racing much but thinks her idea will save the sport.

Have to go with a Devil’s advocate perspective here...I don’t care about the cars. I’ll watch senior citizens race Rascals around the retirement community if they’re talented. It’s why I’m a fan of nearly all forms of Pro & Am levels of racing...watching people take their equipment to the ragged edge of the car’s

And why is it being sold? I’ll put my money on the rock-hard suspension and how the owner is fed up with it. The cachet of being a Black just isn’t enough for the owner to keep it so let someone else have the “fun” of having their fillings knocked out while driving it. That’s my bet.

You think you can keep racing cheap by making teams fit unlimited cars under a silhouette body? How adorable.

I don’t know when it happened, and I’m too lazy to check CR to find out, but at some point, Minis went from being unreliable to reliable. BMW has really improved that way recently.

Beat the shit out of them...great idea.

What? Since Donald The Felon is a constantly lying cheat who has been getting away with it, did that mentally ill scumbag’s example give these “geniuses” the incentive to cheat also?

I owned a Mini Cooper for a decade and wanted a switch—pure and simple.

They got greedy. A single weight stuffed down the gullet wouldn’t have been spotted, and even two or three they could have got away with and had plausible deniability over if there was a hook and some line down with them, the fish might have swallowed that if someone’s line broke off, it could happen, but ten? Nah,

these fishing tournaments are huge revenue generators for the local towns. If cheating is not properly policed (literally in this case) nobody will show up!

I am an avid fisher but I am no where good enough to compete. However, I have friends who participated in this tournament when both offenders got caught those shitheads got lucky they didn’t get the shit beat out of them from what I heard.

Rivenbark told authorities that the boat was on autopilot when it went ashore.”

Came here to post this, not even mad I got beat to it.

I see the yellow “S” is back on Superman’s cape where it belongs. At least Warner Bros got that costume design decision right.

I keep getting the feeling that the folks at Dodge are regretting pulling the “dump the Hemis” trigger too soon. But that die is cast so we’ll see how well Dodge manages.

There’s only one good use for this - Cannonball!

That giant digital dash is an abomination.
