“It doesn’t have the equivalent of a Citroen 2CV to drag around.” Dude, extremely well put.

1st gear: That’s because majority of shareholders are muskies in disguise. Even the massive hedge funds and other institutions, they are all fans of Musk (that’s why they hold shares in the first place). I really hope he bounces as soon as he gets his paycheck and stock goes to shit, so the shareholders realize they…
I like thinking that Elon is lying through his teeth with that graphic—from his own propaganda platform no less—in order to soften up resistance to his obscene pay package. Make the uber-payday appear to be a foregone conclusion—appealing to people’s desire to be on the “winning” side.
How the Charger constantly increases in value as men beg me to buy it.
Re: power and perception of power, I think it’s easy to forget how much heavier cars are now, even compared with 1998. Some not-very-thorough Googling suggests this 98 is probably somewhere in the range of 800 to 1000 lbs lighter than a current Challenger, so that “meager” 225 hp goes a lot further because it doesn’t…
There’s that euphemism that makes my eyes roll every time I see it: “down payment”. Really? When I fork over a down payment, I’m buying something and that ain’t happening here—you are renting. It’s a depreciation charge—pure and simple. But I’m sure it got labeled “down payment” to make it more palatable to those…
Have the same car, but a 96 triple black. 39.5k miles, all original. It’s weird, cause it doesn’t seem like 225HP is much, but I guess maybe with the gearing that’s in it, when I merge from a dead stop onto the freeway a few miles from my house, it not only will spin the tires if you stomp it, it will pull hard…
And the Charger with all those curved surfaces is definitely one of them.
I wonder how many hair transplant ops he went through to sport that head of hair:
Yeah, I have no idea where cdydatzigs is coming from.
$8K, practically credit card money, for a nicely maintained Mustang GT convertible? Sign me up—NP.
Regardless of the director, will Blade still drive a 2nd gen Dodge Charger?
You could well be right. The terrible vid shows the resonator going directly down to the rim for installation, but that detail doesn’t mean that how they’re actually attached.
From the diagram it looks to me as though there is a channel in the wheel and the resonators are clipped in. I don’t think c-force helps hold them in. I guess it’s possible that c-force helps them dynamically tune to the canceling frequency though? Maybe they flex?
Charger?? I always saw Mustang, tail lights did it.
Th celica was compared to the 1st gen Mustang. The similarities are there.
Yeah, that would be sweet! Any of the more outrageous wagons of that time grab me. Of course I’m emotionally tied to our old 68 having spent many a roadtrip in the way back. Chrysler Newport wagons and a couple of the high spec Mercury wagons with hideaway headlights grab me too.
This gets me thinking... how about a Lego Volvo 240 wagon? I’d be all over that, and I bet lego could pull it off pretty elegantly.
Yea, that Charger model is literally a square peg in a round hole problem. Some of those Lego car models just don’t work.
How do they round a square?
