Your choice is so goofy-cool looking, that it’s a terrific car to tap for recognition—well played.

Well I’m stupefyingly envious. Considering how rare they are, you experienced a real treat.

Since gold doesn’t tarnish and since there’s been innumerable complaints about how grungy the stainless steel panels become, doesn’t the plated Origami Truck end up easier to maintain its skin? Granted, that’s a boatload of money but if you’re blowing too much money on a goofy EV anyway, why not go whole hog?

i saw one of these at the Walter Mitty in ATL a few years ago.

And the biggest achievement of the shuttle was probably both fixing it’s nearsightedness and also the multitude of repairs and upgrades they did to it.  Without the shuttle, it would have basically been useless since launch.

“Thanks” to the skimpy garage sizes nowadays, are you describing my neighborhood of tract houses? My garage is 20'x20' and yes, the two cars are wedged in there. I’m literally the only person in the neighborhood parking his cars in the garage—everyone else has their wheels in the driveway since so much family junk has

My entire 2 story hosue, excluding a small enclosed porch, is only 27x27. I can’t imagine needing to allot almost nearly that same amount of a footprint to give our cars a bedroom. We do have a small 1 car “tuck under” garage that takes half the basement space. And I leave that for my wife to park in so she doesn’t

I will let others be guinea pigs. I really don’t trust most German cars. As in- will it last 200,000+ miles without a major issue? And when there are issues, will it cost a fortune to cost or be a pain in the ass if I do it myself? That has yet to really be seen.

Meh, supply and demand.... He sells at that price, then more power to him—at least he wouldn’t’ve left money on the table. And when it doesn’t sell, he’ll be more realistic about the price and lower it—the market will speak and he will adjust.

The Cheetah back in the Sixties:

Anything by Pegaso, but the Z-102 Thrill is especially nice.

If you google “greatest scientific instrument ever,” four of the top seven hits are about Hubble. Webb or Roman may dethrone it someday, but not just yet.

Agreed. And just to add a small note of context, the original mission specs were for the Hubble to last 15 years. 34 and counting is not bad, not too bad at all.

Let’s suppose Hubble locks up tomorrow and that’s it—no more images and telemetry from Hubble. If so, considering how the world got over 30 years of use out of that astounding workhorse, I’d call that outcome excellent bang-for-the-buck. Just about the best NASA ever did—especially when considering the shaky start

Beautiful car. I have a four series in Estoril blue along with Style 397 alloys. If it weren’t for the deleted EGR and modified exhaust - AND the the ridiculous price - I’d toy with buying it, if only so that I could have matching cars. ND

everything done to this car and the amount of damage of the front end cap tells me to avoid this like the plague.

“See, honey? It just won’t sell!”

All that work and mods - obvious front end nastiness - and it’s a DIESEL Bimmer. Big no, not ever, dice.

It’s an auto so it’s not all that special when it comes to F31s, the G80 style bumper is horrid, it’s tuned and has emissions equipment deleted so it won’t pass smog. And for 25k you can easily get a 335 or 340i with a manual. Those are much more enjoyable cars although you’ll have to live without the estate car

At $25k, I still don’t think he actually plans on getting rid of it...
