“...something made in a country that actively employees slave labor and puts people in prison if you whisper something bad about the party.”
Who is they? And where is the evidence for the sabotage? There are plenty of EV’s available at or below the cost of the average new car in the US but since the US government isn’t subsidizing OEMs to the point where they can offer $10k EVs (like the Chinese government does), this is sabotage? Y’all have wild lines…
I have to imagine bringing those back to life is exceedingly more simple than a modern car full of electronics.
How does this even make sense? American companies are spending tens of billions of dollars investing in EV development and your first thought is “they’re just spending that money because they don’t actually want to do EVs”?
Counter-argument: the Superbird is so outrageous, that just the blue paint shows off the car at its best—no need for wild graphics—the car itself does the trick. And Petty Blue paint is a pretty shade.
Then there’s the worst: the cars being ravaged by salt water:
They build nonsense cars like that so that they can point to sales figures and claim that nobody wants EVs/hybrids and just continue to build trucks, which is what they’ve always wanted to do.
At this point I feel they are purposely sabotaging the EV market so they can scream about it failing so they can get back to ICE vehicles.
To me, those things always looked equal parts ungainly and rad as hell. I never could square that circle, but I know I’d have one in my garage if such a thing were ever in the cards.
Naw, the self-deluded American car manufacturers will continue utterly fooling themselves that there is an infinite market for 1200hp EVs that cost a quarter million dollars. Face facts? Not these willfully blind simpletons.
Hitler 1.0 had Mein Kampf listing what he’d do if got into power. American Hitler has that Time article listing what this mentally ill criminal will do if he gets back into office—echo, echo.
The Richard Petty ‘70 Plymouth Superbird:
There will be some numptys commenting who will act like prohibiting the importation of Chinese EVs is being done for data protection or whatever (like it even matters any more), but it is 100% being done purely because the big 3 are scared absolutely to death. It’s the same exact rhetoric that was used back in the…
Everyone should read the TIME interview - he is unhinged - and dangerously self-(and money)absorbed.
Someone explain to me how Donald The Criminal is not a psychopath.
If it runs so “great”, why doesn’t it have CA plates?
It’s as if they’re saying “Our muscle car simulator of a Hemi-powered ‘69 Dodge Charger is the most realistic you can possibly experience!”
“Our matchmaking algorithm is shit so we’re going to come up with an even worse matchmaking algorithm. Please keep paying for our service!”
This is just the lower part.
“If you’ve been to USH, you know that it’s quite the distance from the upper to the lower level of the park. I swear, that was the longest escalator I’ve ridden in my entire life.”
