So instead of 1,000,000 different BOWs—boxes on wheels—for sale in America, now there will be 1,000,001 BOW models. So “necessary”.

Some people are too dumb to be allowed to carry a driver’s license. And yet here we are.
It’s been Deadspun
All I see is a publicity whore-level stunt that wants to be thought of as “art” but it isn’t. It’s just a zero-creativity stunt done for clicks. And that’s it.
The criteria was a “new car”. As I pointed out with the original post, the Dodge Dart ceased production in 2016.
Well at least it wasn’t a Saudi Arabian wealth fund buying them out. If that was the case, I’d bet McLaren management would be fearing for their lives if they didn’t hit sales targets--be executed and chopped up for easy disposal--the Saudi method.
I’m usually in favor of “credit card money” cars. But this one...not all original yet claimed to be, a convertible that looks like it’s been stored outside--in San Francisco no less--home of corroding salt air and crappy weather, the sheer grunginess, the bashed-in nose, the badly fitting hood...all I see is a black…
More completely unnecessary iterations of existing VeeDub products hits America’s shores...why bother?
I have to admit a couple of things. First, I know very little about Asian cars. Then, on the other hand I know these are fun to drive. I’m sure this car can be brought back and they are open to offers. Plus, it’s local. But, back to the first thing I said. I know very little about Asian cars so ND
Funny how the setting in which the car is photographed can tell me as much about the neglect this car has endured than pictures of the car itself. This is self serving theater. Nothing more, nothing less. I’m sure he spent quite a bit of money on this piece.
Ok, great. Thanks! While you’re at it, I have a few other ideas to run by the artist so please send me their contact info.
I’m all for trolling Musk but crushing one object with another object is NOT art. It is an object sitting on top of a crushed object.
At 50,000 miles a year he’s not going to have this car for 20 years. More like 3-4. It is pretty, though.
The Chrysler 300:
I mean doing that would make them look closer to this
Ka-ching! Excellent suggestion.
I’m a big fan. This resembles nothing else, and is strikingly handsome. It also looks larger than it probably is, which is a huge feat for a compact car. I just hope that, with that particular roofline, that it’s a proper liftback.
Well rotate those super skinny kidney grills on their side, problem solved.
