I’m pretty sure my grandfather had a ‘76 Cutlas. Light blue colour with a white vinyl landau top. I believe that is what it was, anyway.

I regret that I have but one star to give for this spot on comment.
“the Tank is designed to protect you from bullets and shrapnel”
The 1962 Lusso, your top pick, would also be my top pick for most beautiful Ferrari. It is possibly the most beautiful car ever made, but that depends upon my mood.
That sounds familiar.
You forgot the two kayaks mounted on the roof rack. When you buy a Subaru, names like “Yakima” and “Thule” become part of the lexicon.
That’s hilarious! You could be right . . . .
I am thinking about it. My wife is half convinced. So am I.
I’d like to shake your hand, mister.
Yeah, well, I still drive a manual. Damn it, I SPECIAL ORDERED IT, and WAITED for it. So there! I can be mad, even if I can’t afford a new ‘Vette, right?
You sounded just like my mom, just then.
I won’t be getting a new ‘Vette, I guess. I’d rather have an old one anyway. Who am I kidding?
That’s sweet!!! I wish my daily sounded like that!
I’d say everyone in Canada, where I’m from, except for the lucky few on the west coast. Driving in snow or maybe rough gravel roads is the only reason why I like my little SUV. A car, or if you need the room, a minivan (it pains me to say that—I hate minivans!) will do much better for everyday driving on dry pavement.
I like it.
I’m not sure about this new Corvette, but I will say that I liked the C7 more than any Corvette since the 1967. It’s too bad that I can’t afford one.
I think you are right about every point that you made. However, I would put money on the Toyota being more reliable, or at least cheaper to maintain. Turbos scare me a bit. Maybe it’s just me.
Increased ride height does help with snow. I went from a Honda Fit to a Subaru Crosstrek, and now I don’t get bogged down in un-shovelled parking lots. I used to carry a snow shovel with me when I drove the Fit. No more. The Fit did handle better, though. I do miss its driving dynamics.
I’m not.
