Rick told you in the premiere this would be their darkest adventure yet. I do miss Jerry he grounded the show. I look forward to this weeks episode.

I thought it was tempered by a few moments, like when Morty gave that “good and evil are only constructs” line, and Maximus looked over at the unconscious Rick covered in vomit and diarrhea and said “Rick needs to see it that way.” It explained Rick’s cynicism perfectly as a coping mechanism for his own enormous

Watching this episode back to back with the Pickle Rick episode really drives home how selfish, nihilistic, and abusive Rick is. Also, the end of last season made it look like he had finally realized how he was messing up the lives of his family members, but it turned out to be a convoluted plan to get rid of his

And fortunately Morty and Noob Noob triggered the machine in the same way. I’m guessing weight? Or maybe Drunk Rick calculated that only Noob Noob would make it to the end?

See I think that’s a bait and switch and he genuinely doesn’t give a fuck, and that any “growth” is just us projecting it on him

Well, Rick is the one who suggested that they put Morty on the platform as the only thing he respects/love/likes (can’t remember what verb they used) about the Vindicators. So that was showing his kernel of genuine love, even though his drunken self was actually talking about Noob Noob.

I don’t know if I would call them all generic. I mean Ghost Train and Million Ants are pretty well thought out very strange amalgams of other heroes.

That is the one thing that keeps me from really enjoying the show. What I have seen is really creative and wickedly funny. But the crushing nihilism keeps me at bay.

Not the same genre, but Van Halen’s 1984 album... the track Hot for Teacher... the background sounds and classroom talks on vinyl sound like you’re litterally there. Well, that’s how it sounds on my very modest setup anyways.

And... anything from Pink Floyd of course. I also have some original pressings of old albums

Do you like Talking Heads? Then you need to have a copy of Remain in Light on vinyl. I found my copy in a record shop in the back corner of an antique store, and I probably listen to it more than any other record I own. It’s an incredible listen from start to finish without any weak points.

Pink Floyd- Dark side of the moon. No justification necessary really.

The Pixies “Doolittle”. Not only is it an awesome record, it influenced countless other bands including Nirvana. Without this the Seattle sound may have never existed.

I like Jaime too, although he is fighting for Cersei, he is a much better person mow than in the begining.

Assorted reactions, as usual:

Jon Snow totally drew those cave pictures himself.

Yeah. Archie really fumbled that lawsuit.
The prevailing belief is that Penders’s actions effectively set a time bomb that made its cancellation inevitable; the theory being that Sega gave Archie an ultimatum that, should another suit find their desk, the license would get pulled. It can’t be a coincidence that,

I ran a shop for a 5 year span that ended—oh god, seven years ago? what the..how did I get so old?—and it was always a really high seller. We aimed to be especially kid friendly though.

It was not sales.

Word on the grapevine is the fallout from a character rights lawsuit, that was brought about by a previous writer a few years back, irreparably damaged the relationship between the two companies.
