God, her fans are so fucking dumb.
God, her fans are so fucking dumb.
Yeah, I’m not really sure where she’s going with this...
I know she’s pretty popular, but does Doja Cat really have this kind of FU money? Kind of seems like her mouth is writing checks her ass can’t cash. But she’s always seemed unhinged (biracial woman has a kink of showing her titties to Nazis, ho-kaaaaay), so this kind of tracks.
Let’s see if I got this right: Cat makes albums she thinks are disposable/soulless/bad. Cat works with very controversial producer who is very likely a terrible person, then throws him under the bus like he did nothing for her and she did him a solid. Cat insults all her fans on Twitter and says she’s smart, they’re…
Gotta be the most famous un-cancellation success story of all time. 21 seasons, one spin-off (Cleveland Show) and two other shows from Seth MacFarlane - American Dad (18 seasons) and Orville.
An early example of this was when Taxi (which had a great cast, including Judd Hirsch, Danny DeVito, Christopher Lloyd and Andy Kaufmann) was cancelled by ABC and then picked up immediately by NBC. The cast did a series of promos leading up to the premiere, and I’ll never forget how DeVito, in character, gave the…
Supposedly it cost a LOT of money to make Timeless.
No Family Guy? That seems like a huge oversight.
The writing has been not great this season. I find the Nate stuff now to be boring. The show could have had double the episodes this season if they just had 25min episodes instead of these meandering 50-60mins episodes.
what once remained safely in its niche can now be trotted out as content for cheap laughs
I get what you’re saying. And yeah, any fandom can form unhealthy attachments and expectations. But at least there are no real people involved or hurt when He-Man starts an orgy with the Battletoads.
“Shipping” should be for fictional characters only. Celebrities and public figures are real people with real lives. They do not exist for our entertainment (despite what TMZ tells us).
“There’s nothing inherently wrong with “shipping,” be it gay or straight. That’s existed in some form for as long as fandom has existed, from fictional characters to real-life figures.”
My medium take: Shipping fictional characters is fine, shipping real human beings is gross.
His problem is that he can’t help treating everyone else like shit too, which is what makes him the asshole.
My form of Nate catharsis will be him getting bitten in the balls by a cobra, writhing around in pain and falling into an open fire, but just before he does, he stubs his toe really hard.
I fast forward thru just about all Nate parts. Grates on my nerves, also speeds up the ep. time.
“AVC: Nate’s arc is kind of between a redemption story and trying to understand where his negative actions are coming from. Why do you think it was important to explore that?
Prediction: he’s going to stare at himself in a mirror and…smile!
