I haven’t watched him in years, but doesn’t he have a “New Rules” segment where he can be aggressively centrist in the douchiest way possible?

please dont ever refer to anything as that. I know what it means, but given Bill Maher....It could mean literally anything.

Hate anti-vax views, but I do like seeing a celebrity have such a nonchalant response to Twitter controversies. So many have thin skin and freak out about being ‘cancelled’.

Also, FWIW, who has been “cancelled” for being anti-vax? Hollywood looked at Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey like they were weirdos for years, but their careers were completely unaffected by their views. And then when the COVID vaccine dropped, people were mad at Letitia Wright for like, a minute, but Marvel told her

I find that generally people who like to call themselves libertarian are just republicans who like marijuana.

Why is it that every dickish personality out there right now seems to try and brush it aside with “i’m a libertarian”?

“That sign can’t stop me because I’m too out of it to read!”

Yeah, if you came away from that monologue thinking anything but "That guy's brain is too fried by weed to take seriously" then you're probably an easy mark.

I was too confused by his monologue to be outraged TBH.

Not sure that is a time jump. I took it as another one of Barry’s hallucinations similar to the wedding reception.

Which was the style at the time.

He succeeded despite being a terrible person, which is something I suppose.

You know what? I really like his show.

I think *he* is a punching bag. I don’t think that has always been directed at his show. Like Fallon gets far more criticism for what’s on his show. Corden is criticized more for being an asshole off screen.

He seems like a dick in real life, but it’s easy to see why people like his on screen persona - He’s affable. He seems genuinely interested in his guests most of the time. He made some fun bits that many people felt they wanted to be a part of. He’s no better or worse than Fallon. A lot of the criticism towards him as

Do NOT send him back here to the UK ffs.

You’re thinking of The Chris Farley Show.

The Paul McCartney episode was truly awesome.
