The Hole In Things

I’m not an Obama hater or whatever, but who exactly is this list intended for? Who is waiting with baited breath to hear what his pop culture views are?

You know his 2021 Wrapped is all Springsteen and Hamilton.

The people who Netflix needed to watch it, but didn’t watch it (typical viewers) have mostly not encountered these ‘toxic nerds’ and definitely don’t care about their opinions. They don’t live in that particular internet bubble.

Insider info from a friend that works at Netflix: they actually had renewed it for a second season, then had a change of heart and had to have what must’ve been an awkward conversation.

By...not watching it?

Tank!(ed) it.

This is historic - Netflix cancelled a show nobody likes for a change.

I think Dev Patel is the only real choice for the next Bond, but since I care less about the franchise and more about using it as a social cudgel to make people on the right mad, I think it would be best if they picked either Richard Ayoade or Rupert Grint.

You can criticise the murderous, apartheid state of Israel without being anti semitic. The Palestinians are semites too.

If Cynthia Nixon ran for governor of Idaho, who would care?”

I’m all for less celebs in politics, but the alternative is Beto - who I am personally fine with- who he said he’d take Texans guns away. I don’t see how Beto can possibly beat Abbott regardless of how bad Abbott is.

As insane as it sounds, he couldn’t possibly been worse than Greg Abbott.

AV club becomes outlet for CIA propaganda dissemination. you truly hate to see it.

You really think he went to fucking journalism school?

Damn, William. I hope the CIA at least pays well...

They don't even name the victim because this is a lie. RFA has been a us propaganda tool for decades and they are the only source. This is total bull shit, and it's  sad the av club is reposting misinformation. It only matters if something is a lie of the Republicans tell it I guess.

I’d take this with a pinch of salt.

I’ve not read deeply on the case, but my impression was that it seemed relatively likely that the guy thought he had done it - but he had serious mental health problems, including feelings of guilt, extreme self-importance and experiencing lost time, and was the target of an FBI investigation for years. He seems like

“They’re shown to be the only ones on the right track with their theory that it’s not Al-Qaeda or other terrorist outfits, but an intelligent and lone white man targeting the victims. Enter Dr. Bruce Ivins (Goldwyn).”
