Not at all. Targeting a white-only restaurant directly targeted and challenged the oppressor. Shutting down a highway targets everyone (people who support, people who oppose, and people who could be drawn to either side). It seems we think different things are necessary. You don’t need any of the things you described. So, to me, they are not necessary. It’s good and prudent to do those things but they are not necessary. And they schedule your next appointment way in advance because they want your business.
